I'm getting obsessed with getting my 5 fruit and veg in every day, there are of course worse things to get pre-occupied with. Though I am wondering how concerned I should be about my behaviour when I'm eating a tangerines and banana before I go to bed... answers on a post card please to: Ward 4....

Training, yes, training is going well, albeit I have only been at it for 10 days. 10 days filled with high levels of enthusiasm, low intensity, high volume, low heart rate, and high mileage running, rowing and of course, the odd bit of cycling. Comedy training moments have included; 6' rugby lad kneeling in the fit ball, losing his balance and pitching himself sideways into geezer with dumbbells and then both of them ending up in a heap on the floor; if you've used a Swiss-ball you know you've been there - always comedy. Secondly, was half asleep on my bike cycling to the gym in the morning and nearly ran someone over in the pedestrianised bit of town, oops, sorry :-) Finally, bashing my knees with the bar when I was trying to dead-lift the other morning, doofus - and SO painful!

We had a team meeting on Monday, points of note from the meeting:
  1. Hayley has booked her flight and signed on the dotted line to become a support crew member. (Round of applause). She has yet to pass her driving test so we're not sure if she is going to be driving us yet, but she has lots to offer in the way of banter and is very dependable
  2. Not sure that we've introduced Jess yet in the blog. Jess committed herself a while ago, is our Crew Chief and in charge of coordinating our crew members. She can drive (bonus), has an extensive music collection, though I fear that there maybe Kings of Leon played over and over an over...
  3. We are getting a little anxious about needing another 2 drivers, 3 if we don't count Hayley.... Action Point.....
  4. General back patting on account of us all still all talking to each other after our first team ride on Sunday (see previous blog post)
  5. I'll be off to represent "Team Human Science" at the RAAM clinic on 21st February... Action Point.... throw money in the general direction of RAAM organisers and get my name on the door...
  6. Mark to continue with sorting out the support vehicles.... Ongoing Action

Arrrighty, back soon, hasta luego, over and out.
