General update

Hi folks, Mark here... I just thought I'd update you all on how things are progressing with RAAM. Last Saturday's fundraising event was superb and it was really nice to get some momentum with regards to our fundraising activities. Training is still going well, though everyone seems to be a bit stale at the moment. Jon's just bought his new full-carbon road bike for RAAM, as I'm sure he'll inform you in due course. I'm hoping to get a new bike next month, though I'm trying to keep it quiet in case my old bike, which has served me unbelievably well, gets upset. Tom and I are doing the national duathlon championships in April (don't expect to see our names, well certainly not mine) anywhere near the top of the results page. All the transport and accommodation is booked for our John O'Groats to Lands End ride over Easter and we're all excited about the challenge and the training benefits it will bring. Jon and I have just bought nice new lightweight rucksacks for the challenge, making the total number of rucksacks I possess about 9. We plan to carry out our next round of fitness tests shortly after we get back so hopefully things will have progressed nicely. Corinne is away on holiday at the moment, no doubt getting some extra training in, so I'm sure she'll return fitter than ever. All the best, Mark.
